Artist Collaborators


Rasika Jog is a singer and music teacher. In line with the objective of spreading the flavor of Indian music, Rasika works as the proprietor of her own music tutoring services called Akhil Music Academy in Mississauga, and as a singer. Rasika has over 20 years of experience in teaching music both in India and Canada. She is the Examination Centre-in-Charge and the principal contact in Canada for Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavavidyalaya; a premier institution located in Mumbai and Miraj in Maharashtra, India. Rasika made musical presentations before large audiences earlier in India and now in GTA, Montreal, London (Ontario), and at Albany (USA).

Rasika has been a part of Mosaic since its inception, as a workshop facilitator. We are grateful to learn about Hindustani classical music from her, and her students!

 

Sara Joy

Sara Joy is a musician and educator based in the Halton Region. She is a vocal and instrumental teacher at Appleby College, a vocal coach with the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth, and the music director of the choir at Faith United Church in Milton.Currently, Sara is working on her Masters in Music Education at Western University. She welcomes all opportunities to make music and is looking forward to connecting with new people through this collective. 

Sara joined us as a co-facilitator during our first year! Her students from the “Voices for Change” course at Appleby College also joined us for a session as guest youth leaders.
